I was really surprised by this hotel. It doesn't look like much from outside. The rooms are a little on the smaller side. But they were definitely nice and clean. Everything was in good order. And the young lady who worked the front desk was very accommodating. I would definitely stay there again. Especially for the cost since so many of the hotels in Kelowna are so expensive. This was at least reasonably priced. They offered a continental breakfast. You have charging docks in your room, Keurig coffee machines, a fridge and TV.
Outrageous rates for the quality of the hotel. Tub does not drain. Rooms stink of strong bleach. 3 nights. All different rates. Was told that's the Okanagan. It's not though Going to another hotel and it's a flat rate from check in. Then this hotel wouldn't give the deposit back. Just a horrible place. Avoid at all costs
Worst stay ever. Owner is racist and the most rude person, she was yelling and shouting at us, interrupting us, belittling us, ignoring us, + calling us “you people” countless times. The incident we had was that the washroom had pee stains all over the toilet as soon as we checked in and we talked to the front desk to get it fixed ASAP. She accused us of doing it ourselves after admitting and stating that they are understaffed and our room was ‘cleaned’ but not checked before given to us. Then she offered a 12$ cash refund which is NOT LEGAL. Once we asked for her name so we could leave an honest and detailed review to the third party website we booked through, she refused, took back the cash AND kicked us out for asking her name and for seeking a solution to the major hygiene issue posed by the urine on the toilet. She then FORCIBLY cancelled our reservations and refused to process the refunds correctly. She lied and said she couldn’t process the refund and that a third party handles that, but we called the third party co in front of Super 8 management (with great struggle and misleading numbers given by Super 8) and they said it is 100% at the discretion of the Super 8 management to process the refund. They tried to avoid it in a few other ways including pretending that the phone line with the third party co had too much static to discuss, but we confirmed we heard no static and she was forced to continue the conversation with them. We ended up having to personally and physically be at the hotel desk until the third party confirmed for the hotel mgmt that they must agree to the refund. If we didn’t do this, they wouldn’t have even processed the refund. They are RACIST, RUDE, & HAVE NO INTEGRITY. We were forcibly kicked out at 10pm for an extremely unhygienic and unclean issue THEY posed and could have easily solved. (I have video footage as proof and time stamps of the check in time + the time I took the picture of the urine on the toilet as proof).
I read some of the low star reviews before I came and was quite worried about running into issues like that. But seriously it was such a great experience staying there! The front desk was really polite and humorous. Very clean room. Safe and convenient location. No issues at all
The lady at front desk seems more concerned with other things than offering SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.....She is not conversant about what is customer service OR is a poor employee.....even if she was the owner she would not like to loose business when a Diamond Customer requests adjustment. Other Super 8 businesses are super accommodating. This lady needs to be FIRED.
