The hotel was conference centre was great for the water polo and swimming sale we were taking part in this year. A good size room with plenty of space. Kelowna Water Polo Swim Club was here to recruit new athletes for it’s youth and adult programs. The conference centre provided trestle tables and large round tables for the room setup. Great space. The pool looks pretty sweet too.
The new renovations used bizarrely old stuff and were selective on what they replaced. My room included a tattered throw pillow and a non-metric thermostat. They could have been attempting to not make the rest of on-site properties not look out of place. I overpaid a significant amount for this room after adjusting for holiday surge pricing. I gave up on checking out properly as I was informed the front desk person was in the washroom. Would stay here again for the right price, but most options are better. The AC was a bit on the louder side, but not too bad. It managed to keep the room cool. Oddly, it never stopped. For those who get woken up by the clunk of ACs starting this hotel might let you sleep all night.
The location is excellent surrounded by restaurants and in front of a mall. The lobby was cozy and elegant. Mike in the front desk was really good at his job both over the phones and by person, very professional and accommodating along with his colleague. The rooms were spacious and nice. Had a pleasant stay with Ramada and this is our go-to hotel now as we were pleased.
A bit dated but still nice! Pool open from 7:00 am -11:00pm which was never busy and nice to use. There was also a gym. It was conveniently located right next to Orchard Park Mall and located around several restaurants. It was a quiet location and the shampoo, conditioners and bottles of water were a nice touch. We had a great time. Thanks again!
We chose this hotel because we have an infant daughter and needed the separate loft sleeping area for her. That was the only positive of our stay. The elevator was broken or not working for most of our 3 night stay, and when I spoke to the manager about it his response was, "well maybe you just didn't wait long enough." Carting a baby around through the entire hotel with her stroller wasn't too terrible, ultimately, but it is absolutely an inconvenience. That's indisputable. I asked, reasonably, for a discount because of that. I am still disappointed with the response. We the elevator was not functioning on checkout and they denied it right then and there. Terrible service and they wouldn't even apologize when I went back to triple check all three floors for them. I would stay anywhere else if possible, and recommend others do the same.
