My family has been coming to Okanagan Veterinary Hospital for close to 10 years, so naturally I chose them as my pet’s vet. Every person working there has deep love for the animals - you really can trust them with your pets life. They have gone above and beyond for my pet multiple times.
If you’re looking for a vet for your pet, definitely take them here :)

If i knew what i knew now i NEVER would have breeded my bulldogs at this vet. After a horrible breeding experience and mistakes on their end we finally had puppies.. not long after bringing them home we noticed they were having some issues. These issues were brushed off and not taken seriously.. We lost a 3 week old puppy after it was misdiagnosed and suffered a horrible death. Giving them another chance due to lack of options, we brought another puppy in facing similar urgent issues and were argued with by the receptionist and turned away after an hour n a half in traffic with a sick 4 week old puppy. Think twice before trusting your loved pet in their hands. Beyond heart broken and dissapointed.

I understand this is a bad review and you will say what you need to redirect blame and to prevent losing business. When i called earlier the same day to notify you that power was out on my half the city in the hot summer heat asking the tech if i could bring all the puppies earlier than 430 apt so they had a place to go other than in my AC vehicle (WHOLE REASON for urgent call), i was told you would be able to accomodate bringing all the puppies but still could not get me in till 430. So your claim is false. If it was true this would have been avoided.
I understand i was 30 minutes late due to the terrible events of that day, however i find it upsetting you would only book me in for a 30 min apt for a very ill puppy, when you were still open another 45 mins and then argue with me about what was said when i called. After thousands spent and the overall experience, we will of course seek care elsewhere.
Regardless, I know reviews can be impactful to a business and am willing to work towards an understanding. If you want to call me monday to discuss im available at 1pm.

The front staff were wonderful however, I am really disappointed in the service I was provided by Dr. J.H. As a new dog mom having just moved to the Okanagan, thus switching vets, I took my dog for a checkup at OK Vet Hospital. I was specifically seeking re-assurance regarding his teeth.
The Dr. was overall impersonal and rude. She made an off-handed comment about my dog's harness looking "funny" and "small." When I asked her if she was concerned about it and recommended a different one, she brushed me off. She shamed me for feeding my dog a high quality grain-free kibble, which I noted was recommended by my previous vet. She then shamed me for not already having him vaccinated against rabies and told me a story about a dog dying a few years ago from rabies and brushed off my previous vets advice to me regarding it.
Three weeks later, and I've now learned from my new vet that my dog has base-narrow canines which have been puncturing his upper gums. Photos of his teeth as a puppy confirm that he's had it for some time and was overlooked or missed.
Suffice to say, I will not be returning.

Vets are passionate about what they do. they honestly have the best interest of your fur family in mind. They do NOT oversell treatment and are understanding with the financial expense and try to work within your means. They are also extremely compassionate when my pet pass. I feel comfortable taking thier advise regarding my pets health.

Kind, compassionate care for my dog (who I will be the first to admit is not an easy patient) and helped me navigate and control her chronic conditions, and offered compassionate care and an empathetic ear after an emergency visit.
The clinic is clean, the front desk staff fantastic. Well done team OVH
