I am writing this review because I didn't like the service I observed at cibc in penticton Friday March 4 between 11- 11 30 am. I noticed that the customer service here needs severe improvement. I clearly observed that a customer was disgruntled about thier account . The exuse for a customer service rep clearly told the customer she couldn't explain why he was charged an overdraft of 21.00 . The customer was clearly disgruntled and swore once (I would have too) so the customer service rep told the customer to leave the bank. The customer left the bank but was not told why he was charged 21.00 for an overdraft protection he didn't sign up for on his account. As the disgruntled customer was leaving the other teller told him to get a job. I made up my mind ! I will never be a customer at cibc in my life time.
The same blond teller, 3 months in a row, I ask clearly to withdraw in Only $100 Bill's. She gets a bunch of 50's and 20's, and counts out. Then, I say I asked for only $100 bills. She looks disgusted and says rudely, well, I have to do it all over again. I am not fond of dealing with this bank.
Thankful for Matt for helping me fix my debt card. Its working perfectly now.
May 02, 2015 The Farmers Market in Penticton is open for business once again. How exciting! But if you're not careful you could end up spending much more then you've budgeted for, especially if CIBC at 295 Main St has you TOWED from their lot behind the bank. The taxi ride to 1325 Commercial Rd will cost you 15 dollars. Getting your vehicle out of impoundment, another 178 dollars. Prepare yourself tho because the pound lot is closed on Saturdays, so that may cost you an extra 50 dollars unless the person swiping your credit card feels badly for you. CIBC customer service will not hesitate before calling the tow truck company and having your vehicle tow away... CIBC staff only care to keep their parking lot empty Saturday mornings. P.S. CIBC staff are well prepared to deal with post traumatic towing disorderly persons. Just like Honey Badger, they don't.....
